At Ley Hill Cricket Club, we provide the perfect balance between competitive and social cricket. Every Saturday during the season, our 1st, 2nd and 3rd XI compete in the Kookaburra Mid Bucks Cricket League. In addition, we are sometimes capable of putting together a 4th XI friendly side if we have sufficient availability for a particular weekend.

 

If you are unable to play on Saturday's, look no further than our Sunday sides. For the past couple of seasons, we have played in the Chess Valley Sunday League and we also field a Sunday XI, which has a packed fixture schedule of friendly games from the end of April until the end of September.    

 

For younger players, Ley Hill has a thriving junior section. The club is renowned for giving junior players an opportunity to play for the adult sides as soon as they are considered suitably capable. We play junior league cricket from the age of under 10s through to under 17s. For even younger children, there are opportunities to play Kwik Cricket every week.

Latest Pre Season News!

SUMMER TRAINING - this will begin outside on Monday, 23rd April. For age group days and times please visit the website. During the season there will be a BBQ on each Friday when there is a Junior home game - Manager of the home team will to ask a couple of parents to man the BBQ on the night and the Committee will provide the food. So please take a look at the fixtures on the website to see when your Junior is at Home and see if you can offer your help and you can watch the cricket at the same time!

 

NEW JUNIOR SECRETARY - STILL required for next season. Kate Morris is kindly staying on for the coming season but a replacement should be found soon to work alongside Kate. Ideally the right person would come from the Junior parents’ section but there may be someone out there just looking to contribute. Not a nightmare of a job but you need to be organised and will liaise with Club Secretary, Lynn. For more information contact Lynn Barrett or Kate Morris.

FANTASY CRICKET - £5 per team and closing date of 5th May so hurry. There are prizes to be won and the money raised will go towards new training equipment. It really is easy to set-up and good fun!

JUNIOR REGISTRATION If your son or daughter wishes to play this season he or she must register. You should have received a form via email but they are available, downloadable from this website in the Junior Section. Simply send the completed form to Kate Morris with payment, her details are on the "Junior Subscription Form" which you can download right now simply by clicking here! 

SENIOR REGISTRATION - all Senior players wishing to register for the coming season will be required to fill in the Registration Form - REGISTRATION WILL NOT BE COMPLETE WITHOUT PAYMENT. If you have lost the form, please contact your Captain as soon as possible. Deadline is 17th May 2012.

CHARITY BIKE RIDE - Chris Connolly (3rd XI Captain) is doing a bike ride on Friday the 20th of April with a group of other middle aged men (his words!) to raise money for 3 great charities.  He would really appreciate any sponsorship which can be made by going to http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/Buckshornets
