Happy Valentines to all that attended the LHCC dinner & dance!

Welcome to the web site of Ley Hill Cricket Club. We are a village club near Chesham with three teams playing Saturdays in the Mid Bucks League and a team in the Chess Valley Sunday League. Playing standards have risen in recent years, and participation at junior and senior levels continues to grow but there are still opportunities for players of all levels. Our extensive coaching facilities have made our junior sides very popular and consistently successful against local opposition. In 2006 the club became the first in Buckinghamshire to receive Clubmark accreditation.

Ley Hill CC on twitter:
Ley Hill Cricket club now has its own Twitter account, so for all the latest goss & news simply click on the link above. The junior section even have their own account so lets get Tweeting!

newNews Flash!:
Sunday 5th February; Due to the inclement weather (150mm of snow) there will be NO indoor nets at either Chesham Prep or Westbrooke Hay this evening: Watch this space for further updates.

Senior Awards Night:
The Senior Awards Presentation Night will be on Friday 14 October at the Ley Hill Community Hall. Following a similar format to last year, the evening will be an informal affair with a curry buffet & the usual tomfoolery.

Six-a-Side:
A reminder about the annual six-a-side competion to be held at LHCC on bank holiday Monday, starting at 10.30am (what time can you get there!) with fun to be had by cricketers & spectators alike. Entertainment will be provided by the bands performing at the Ley Hill Festival organised by our neighbours the Crown & the Swan. If the weathers good, why not bring a picnic? We'll provide the bar!

Season Averages:
Season averages (so far) can be found here under the following headings; batting, bowling, fielding. Thanks as always to Eleanor Phillips. Featuring the lastest achievements, the latest top scores can be found here.

Lords Taverners dig deep:
Most of our junior sides, as well as those from Chesham Preparatory School will have had the pleasure of playing on our new artificial wicket. Our old 'strip' was very worn & in desperate need of resurrection! Without the considerable generosity of the Lords Taverners' grant obtaining our new wicket would have been a longer & more arduous journey. Many thanks to all involved, our juniors in particular are very appreciative.

New Kit Supplier:
This season, LHCC have joined forces with Hawkinsport. Members can now order & pay for their cricket kit on line at the Hawkinsport web site. Click on this link & then 'Clubs' found in the left margin. Look for the Ley Hill logo, click again & you're there! Featuring new items in both senior & junior sizes, complete with official club logos (similar to the Premiership but without the millions!) there is something for everyone & new items will be added throughout the season.

Monthly Barbeques:

To promote social intercourse at LHCC, starting this weekend 21May, we will be holding regular Saturday evening BBQ's after the league match has finished. Please join us for the final few overs (or longer if you wish) of what usually is a tense finale of an exciting game, have a drink, a natter & a bite to eat to start your Saturday night!

1000 Wickets:
Many, many congratulations to Paul Green who last weekend took his 1000th wicket for LHCC! Our secretary & statistician Eleanor Phillips is on a well earned vacation for a few days but no doubt on her return the magnificence of Paul's achievment will be documented in full.

Latest Boundary News:
Eleanor's latest Boundary News can be found here for those that haven't seen it yet.

Disciplinary Guidance:

With the comings & goings of a number of clubs from the league following last season, the question of discipline have become more of an issue. The county cricket board (BCC) has an extensive list of rulings which LHCC are obliged to adopt. For those of you with an interest in the matter (for whatever reason!) they can be found by clicking on this link.
