LHCC U14's v Tring Park U14's

After losing the toss Ley Hill batted first against a well drilled Tring side who arrived before the majority of our team. It never looked promising after losing a wicket first ball and another in the first 2 overs. However with Luke Asquith scoring 42 and Alex C-Ramsey and Peter Connolly useful 8's we managed to reach 81 all out in the final over.
This proved to be just 20 runs or so short since some spirited bowling - especially from Bobby Thomas - and good fielding with Alec C-R to the fore made it closer than it might have been. In general we bowled too short but the attitude was good and we made a real game of it against a good team to whom we lost far more heavily last year.
