Scorers' Course

Eleanor Phillips and Roz Walter are once again planning to run their popular beginner's course for would-be scorers. This will be on a Sunday morning and lasts approximately one hour. This course is for anyone aged 10 and over and is for absolute beginners - those who have never opened a score book and are perhaps a little confused as to how the game of cricket is actually played!

We split into two teams and play a table top game of cricket using the Howzat dice and as the game progresses, it is explained to you how it would be recorded in a score book. Anyone interested should contact either Eleanor or Roz by 1st June please. There will also be a notice on one of the pavilion noticeboards you can write your name on. Once we know numbers, we will decide a date to hold the course. Do come along - it's great fun!

Race for Life

This is a ladies only sponsored event which is held throughout the UK during the summer and raises money for Cancer Research. Eleanor is running (well walking actually) the course at Waddesdon on 22nd May. Some members of the cricket club have already been kind enough to sponsor me and if you wish to contribute to this very worthy cause, my sponsorship form is currently pinned up on a noticeboard in the pavilion.
