THE FAST BOWLING DIRECTIVES
For all age groups, it is recommended that in any 7-day period, a fast bowler should bowl in no more than 4 days in that period & no more than 2 days in a row.
Players can play in other matches provided they do not bowl.

Having completed a spell, the bowler cannot bowl again, from either end, until the same number of overs have been bowled from the same end. Once a bowler has bowled in a match, he cannot exceed the maximum overs per day for his age group even if he subsequently bowls spin.
For the purposes of these guidelines, a fast bowler should be defined as a bowler to whom a wicket keeper in the same age group, in normal circumstances, would stand back to take the ball.
Remember that these directives are for fast bowling only. Captains, managers, coaches and the players themselves should take responsibility for their playing and training loads and ensure that the programmes fit within the directives.
