72 hours earlier, our U12 team had played The Lee and won convincingly. Both sides had very similar teams this morning so there was a real expectation of a similar result.

Rhys and Ted got us off to a great start with Ted having to retire at 32, including 5 boundaries. Rhys went for 9 with a great catch in the 9th over and in came Ed, scoring a rapid 13 off 8 balls before being caught. Unfortunately, between the 11th and 15th overs we went from 76/2 to 79/6. Max then got a 10 not out and Jake added 5, with Luke not out to get us to 98.

Time for our attack to strike and strike we did. 2 wickets in the first over for Ted, first a catch for Ed, the second a clean bowl. This was starting to feel like Thursday night. They steadied things up after that getting to 33 before Ed got another catch, bowled by Rhys. Their 4th batsman retired at 30 before Rhys got another wicket with a clean bowl in the 9th over. The Lee then put on 42 runs in the last 5 overs, reaching the target at the end of the 14th, our fallow period proving too costly in the end. Ted and Munveer led the bowling stats with good economy and Rhys and Ted both getting 2 wickets.

One win each between the clubs and some great cricket all round.
