With half the regular members of the 1st XI off on a stag do, the team which travelled to West Reading was captained by Max Lee. He won the toss and elected to bat. Unfortunately no-one excelled themselves with the bat, the average score per player being just over 17 runs apiece and they ended up on 192 runs. Most of the damage was done by Hafeez Ul-Wahab who finished with figures of 4 for 17 from 9 overs.
In response, West Reading reached the winning total quite easily in just 33.5 overs, their highest run scorer being Akeel Khan who ended up on 53 not out. Best Ley Hill bowling came from Jack Thompson with figures of 2 for 46 from 10 overs.
