Wendover won the toss and batted, scoring 130 for 10 from their 20 overs. Top scorer was O. McKenna with 37 and the only other Wendover batter to reach double figures was A. Rainbow with 10. Most of the damage was done by Freddie Ventham who took 4 wickets for 21 runs, followed by skipper Tristan Reynolds with 3 for 15 and Henry Sussum with 2 for 18. There was some very good catching by the Ley Hill fielders, namely Tristan, James Webster, Joseph Lewin and Tom Veall.
In response, only one Ley Hill batter reached double figures – opener Tom Veall who scored 10. The result was that the team was bowled out for just 37 runs. Wendover’s bowlers returned some good figures – Russell 3 for 10, Smith 2 for 7, Patel 2 for 10, L. Murray-Russell 1 for 5, Gohar 1 for 2 and Harding 1 for 3.
